Persistence is Key: A 9-Year Deal in the Making

We first started talking to the owner of this property back in 2016.
At the time, she wasn’t ready to sell — not even close. But we stayed in touch. A check-in here, a conversation there. Never pushy, just present.

By 2023, she was finally open to the idea of selling and floated a price of $2,500,000.
In 2024, that number dropped slightly to $2,300,000, but she still wasn’t in a rush. I knew this was going to be a long game.

Then, in January 2025, we brought in a serious buyer that toured multiple units and came in non-contingent with an offer of $2,000,000 — strong, clean, and ready to move.

But the seller wasn’t ready. She opened escrow with three different buyers who offered higher prices. One by one, those buyers tried to renegotiate — each asking for price reductions the seller simply wouldn’t accept. The deals fell through.

Then, in May 2025, she circled back to our buyer.

No games. No drama. Just a clear path forward.
We reopened the conversation, got the deal back on track, and from that point on, it was smooth sailing to close.

The Takeaway?

Persistence pays.Nine years. Multiple offers. Countless conversations. And in the end, the most prepared buyer — and the most patient approach — won.
